Caregiver - Long-term Care Attendant

As a Long-term Care Attendant with Interior Health Authority, you will be an integral part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team providing care and support in a long-term care setting. Working under the direction of Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses, you will have key responsibilities in the individual care plan for each patient, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are supported, while promoting maximum independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with personal care and activities of daily living
- Assisting with mobility, transfers, and related equipment
- Performing nursing procedures such as taking temperature, pulse, and respiration
- Housekeeping activities relating to maintaining a safe and healthy environment
- Observing and reporting changes in patient behavior and condition
- Accompanying clients on outings and during social activities
- Performing clerical duties and delegated tasks
About this Opportunity:
This is a permanent part-time (0.40 FTE) opportunity. Shifts of work will be scheduled evenings, rotating from 16:30 to 20:30 hours.

Parkview Place, located in Enderby, embodies a person-centered philosophy designed to support people's choices, help people function at their highest level, and provide the best quality of life possible. Housed on the 2nd floor of the Community Health Centre, this is a 31-bed complex care facility with private rooms in two wings.
