About the Role:

As a registered massage therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality massage therapy services to clients with various needs, including pain relief, stress management, injury recovery, and wellness promotion. You will also educate and advise clients on how to improve their posture, mobility, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess clients' physical condition, medical history, and goals to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide therapeutic and relaxation massages to clients in a safe and comfortable manner.
  • Monitor and evaluate clients' progress and adjust the treatment plan as needed.
  • Educate and counsel clients on how to prevent or manage their condition, and recommend home care exercises and products.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of client care and treatment.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in massage therapy.
  • Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or certificate in massage therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Valid license to practice as a registered massage therapist in the province of Alberta, Canada.
  • City of Calgary Massage Practitioner license.
  • Liability insurance that meets or exceeds the minimum standard.
  • Proficient in various massage techniques and modalities, such as Swedish, deep tissue, sports, prenatal, etc.
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and kinesiology.
  • Ability to perform physical assessments and apply appropriate pressure.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and other healthcare providers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong ethical and professional conduct.
  • Empathetic and client-centered approach.
