About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Long Haul Driver to join our team at S Class Transport Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Mountain Driving Expertise: Utilize your knowledge and skills to navigate challenging mountainous terrain with confidence.
  • Travel Arrangements: Arrange travel itineraries and make reservations as needed to ensure seamless transportation services.
  • Teamwork: Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, working closely with colleagues to achieve common goals.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods safely and efficiently, taking care to prevent damage or injury.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of your vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Financial Transactions: Process payments for goods and manage financial transactions accurately and securely.
  • Vehicle Inspections: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure all aspects of the vehicle are functioning properly.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to extend the life of the vehicle and prevent costly repairs.
  • Communication: Relay information to central dispatch and receive updates on cargo status, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Hazardous Materials: Safely transport and handle hazardous materials, adhering to relevant regulations and guidelines.
Required Certifications and Licenses
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks)
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
Work Environment and Conditions
  • Work Term: Permanent
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
Compensation and Benefits
