Job Summary

GP Custom Metals Inc. is seeking a skilled Welder - Fabrication Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of metal fabrication and welding services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and execute welding process specifications to meet customer requirements.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Examine welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding equipment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient and safe working practices.
Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in welding and metal fabrication.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with arc welding machines, brazing machines, and other metal fabrication equipment.
  • Knowledge of custom fabrication, machinery or equipment repair, and factory assembly.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide excellent customer service.
