Englobe Corp. is seeking an experienced Environmental Risk Assessor to join our team. As an Environmental Risk Assessor, you will play a key role in supporting our clients in managing environmental risks and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Environmental Risk Assessment: Conduct Phase One and Phase Two environmental site assessments, and provide technical leadership and oversight support in environmental consulting or regulatory environment with a focus on site investigation/remediation, applied toxicology, and/or ecological risk assessment.
- Health and Safety: Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety policies, and ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Project Support: Support a wide variety of projects, including the preparation of HHRAs and ERAs in accordance with federal and provincial guidance, and the development of remedial strategies for contaminated sites.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with staff at different offices and in different service lines, and maintain a positive and cooperative environment.
- Education: Degree in toxicology, biology, chemistry, environmental science, or similar field.
- Experience: 3-10 years of related risk assessment experience, with significant knowledge of the Ontario risk assessment process (O. Reg. 153/04) and soil vapour intrusion assessments.
- Registration: Registered, or eligible for registration, with the Ontario Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change as a Qualified Person for Risk Assessment (QPRA) per Section 6 of O. Reg. 153/04.
- Skills: Excellent computer application and spreadsheet skills, experience with exposure and risk modelling for both federal and Ontario-based HHERAs, and working experience of the various types of risk assessments.
