Job Description

The IT Infrastructure Specialist will be responsible for coordinating, managing and supervising the analysis, implementation, evolution, support and operational support of complex, multi-site information systems affecting several sectors of the organization.

This role acts as an expert in their field of specialization, with specific functions including:

  • Deploy, Support and Maintain Applications: Admin, Clinical, Social services applications.
  • Analyze Business Processes: Related to the acquisition or replacement of IT systems/applications.
  • Ensure Integration and Implementation of New Solutions: Design and implement performance and information integrity testing strategies.
  • Produce Training Materials: Required for the technology portion of the project.
  • Manage Technical Tasks: In collaboration with the PMO.
  • Manage Interface Application Development: Analysis, design, specification, implementation, go-live and support.
  • Configure and Maintain Monitoring Tools: Orion SolarWinds.
  • Configure and Maintain Database Servers.
  • Supervise and Administer Microsoft Office 365.
  • Manage Virtual Machines Inventory.
  • Organize Service Requests and Technical Support.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, and possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze problems and conduct effective fault diagnosis and system recovery.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience and influence diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Cultural Knowledge: Knowledge of Cree culture, health and social services in Eeyou Istchee is an asset.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English; fluency in Cree and/or French is an asset.
