Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

First Student Canada-Transco is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Stratford, ON.

About the Position

As a Diesel Mechanic with First Student, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing school buses to ensure vehicle readiness and safety. Your duties will include:

  • Performing preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and annual MTO maintenance inspections
  • Diagnosing and repairing vehicle and equipment issues, including brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions
  • Ensuring work orders are completed accurately
  • Assisting with mobile emergency services
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid driver's license
  • An S and/or T license
  • A mechanic's tool set
  • A willingness to participate in ASE certification program
