Job Summary

Spady Transport Limited is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across long distances, often crossing international borders. This is a permanent position with a 50-hour workweek.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive semi-trailer trucks to transport goods and materials across long distances.
  • Operate and maintain the vehicle, including performing pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch and record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo.
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods.
Requirements
  • Air Brakes Endorsement.
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks).
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Valid passport.
  • Basic security clearance.
  • Criminal record check.
  • Driver's validity licence check.
  • Driving record check (abstract).
  • Drug test.
  • Medical exam.
Work Environment

This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to work overtime and travel for extended periods. You will be required to drive manual transmission vehicles and have a valid driver's license. You must be willing to travel cross-border and overnight.
