Highly Skilled Technical Architect for Navy Initiative

S.i. Systems is seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Architect to provide technical expertise on a major Navy initiative. This exciting opportunity will support the modernization of the Naval Training System (NTS) through digital integration, enhancing the existing ecosystem for naval training with a cutting-edge software package.
About the Role
As the successful candidate, you will work closely with our team to define the overall structure of the implementation technology and ensure the technical integrity and consistency of the solution. You will be responsible for developing technical architectures, frameworks, and strategies to meet business and application requirements.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Define the overall structure of a particular implementation technology and ensure the technical integrity and consistency of the solution;
- Develop technical architectures, frameworks, and strategies, either for an organization or for a major application area, to meet the business and application requirements;
- Identify policies and requirements that drive out a particular solution;
- Analyze and evaluate alternative technology solutions to meet business problems;
- Ensure the integration of all aspects of technology solutions;
- Evaluate hardware and software relative to their ability to support specified requirements and by determining potential and actual bottlenecks, improve system performance through recommended hardware and/or software changes;
- Review computer software systems and data requirements as well as communication and response needs and determine operating systems and languages needed to support them;
- Monitor industry trends to ensure that solutions fit with government and industry directions for technology;
- Provide information, direction, and support for emerging technologies;
- Perform impact analysis of technology changes;
- Provide support to applications and/or technical support teams in the proper application of existing infrastructure;
- Review application and program design or technical infrastructure design to ensure adherence to standards and to recommend performance improvements;
- Brief technical details to Management;
- Support the development of a system solution, including the execution and delivery of that solution into production;
- Review requirements and provide support for the deployment of immersive training technologies (AR, VR, Gamification, etc.) through the project's solution;
- Be responsible for system design to ensure that the target applications in the technical architecture will meet non-functional requirements;
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience as a Technical Architect;
- 4+ years of experience architecting technical solutions that leverage virtualization strategies in a classified (i.e., Secret, Top Secret) network environment;
- Active GoC Secret Clearance;
- Nice-to-have: Experience with machine learning, artificial intelligence, and deep learning/deep automation including the development, testing, and validation of novel ML techniques tailored to specific applications;
- Nice-to-have: Experience providing business architecture support to a project in a Secret or Top Secret environment.
What We Offer
S.i. Systems offers a competitive salary range of $160,000 - $200,000 per annum, based on experience.
