We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist I to join our team at La Crete Health Centre. As a key member of our inter-professional team, you will be responsible for performing procedures in both the laboratory and diagnostic imaging departments, working closely with patients and healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:- Collect and analyze biological specimens, conduct X-ray examinations, ECGs, and report results in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prepare patients for procedures, perform venipuncture and micropuncture, and maintain routine equipment.
- Ensure quality control procedures are performed and accurate records are maintained.
- Provide patient, public, and staff radiation protection and follow ALARA principles.
- Participate in training new staff and students, and demonstrate a commitment to professional growth and competency.
- Completion of a diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT).
- Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologists (ACCLXT).
- Ability to work various shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and take call by responding within 30 minutes.
- High level of organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
