At HIGHWAY RANGER TRUCKING LTD., we are seeking a skilled Truck Driver - Long Haul to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various locations. Your duties will include operating and driving straight or articulated trucks, overseeing the condition of the vehicle, and performing pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections. You will also be responsible for receiving and relaying information to central dispatch, recording cargo information, and ensuring the safety and security of cargo. Additionally, you will need to have a valid Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks) and Air Brake (Z) Endorsement. If you have a strong work ethic and are able to work 50 to 60 hours per week, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo

Requirements:

  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks)
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Will train
