Job Summary

The City of Hamilton is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead projects related to wastewater infrastructure planning and improvement. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Civil Engineering and/or Environmental Science, with experience in project management and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead projects related to wastewater infrastructure planning and improvement
  • Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets
  • Manage and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including consultants and City officials
  • Prepare project reports, presentations, and status updates
  • Provide analysis and recommendations on wastewater system capacity and infrastructure improvements
  • Ensure compliance with City and Provincial policies, regulations, and guidelines

Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Civil Engineering and/or Environmental Science principles and practices
  • Membership with the Professional Engineers of Ontario or the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists preferred
  • Previous project management experience, preferably in a water/wastewater environment
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead teams as needed

Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent deadlines and competing priorities. The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously is essential.
