Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team in Surrey, BC. This full-time position offers a competitive salary of $28 - 35 per hour, making it an attractive opportunity for experienced individuals.

About the Job

As a Roofer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, or replacing built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel. Your expertise will also involve installing single-ply roofing systems using waterproof sheet materials like modified plastics, elastomeric, or other asphaltic compositions.

  • Install shingles, shakes, and other roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings.
  • Install sheet metal flashings.
  • Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level.
  • Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools.
  • Set up scaffolding to provide safe access to roofs.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have five or more years of experience as a Roofer. A solid understanding of cladding installation is an asset, as well as the ability to work independently on general assignments. You should also possess a strong mathematical background and be able to read and interpret blueprints.

  • Able to operate equipment and machinery and different tools.
  • Able to work in all weather conditions.
  • Able to lift at least 40-50 pounds.
  • Able to stand, kneel, and bend for long hours.
  • Should be physically fit.
