Job Title: Land Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Land Surveyor to join our team at Amray Land Surveying Ltd.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting legal surveys, preparing data and documents, and supervising field crews. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of survey plans, methods, and procedures, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement survey plans, methods, and procedures for conducting legal surveys
  • Prepare all data and documents related to surveys of real property boundaries
  • Supervise and direct field crews to ensure accurate and efficient survey work
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Plan and direct surveys to establish legal boundaries of properties
  • Record all measurements and other information obtained during survey activities
  • Determine precise locations using electronic distance measuring equipment
  • Survey and lay out subdivisions for rural and urban development
Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in land surveying
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Strong understanding of survey plans, methods, and procedures
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work outdoors in various locations, including urban and rural areas. The work setting will be in a private sector land surveying establishment.
