About the Role

We are seeking an Electrical Engineering Technologist to join our team at BC Hydro. As an Electrical Engineering Technologist, you will play a key role in supporting the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design and development of electrical systems, including circuit analysis and simulation.
  • Conduct site visits to inspect and test electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other technical staff to resolve electrical system issues and improve system performance.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including diagrams, schematics, and reports.
  • Provide training and support to colleagues on electrical systems and technologies.

Requirements
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in electrical systems design, development, and implementation.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in electrical design software and tools.
Language and Work Environment

This role requires fluency in English and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will be based in our office in Vancouver, BC, and will be required to travel to various sites throughout the province.
