About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Crane Service Technician to join our team at GD Crane Electrical Service Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our overhead cranes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting and Inspection: Identify and diagnose faults and malfunctions in crane equipment using computerized and other testing equipment.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and repairing or replacing defective parts.
  • Inventory Management: Order and maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Testing and Quality Control: Test repaired equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Certifications: Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate and Fall Arrest Protection Training Course.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and handle heavy equipment, work at heights, and perform tasks that require attention to detail.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 40-hour workweek. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to adapt to changing priorities.
