Senior Corporate Counsel

AMD is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Corporate Counsel - Employee to join its legal team. The successful candidate will provide counsel and legal advisory services to AMD in HR and labor-related matters for our Canada locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide employment law guidance for the full employment lifecycle, including hiring, employment, and end of employment.
- Offer guidance on internal investigations in HR-related matters for our Canada locations.
- Provide statutory and other HR-compliance guidance in Canada.
- Offer guidance on certain multi-jurisdictional employment law project areas, such as AMD's disability accommodation processes.
- Support M&A activities in employment law areas as assigned.
- Train clients and business groups on employment law topics of importance.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience as a practicing lawyer with in-house or industry-specific legal experience in Canada.
- A progressive work history with in-house and/or private practice experience.
- Proficient in partnering with clients to provide practical solutions while mitigating risk.
- Comfortable working remotely with clients, colleagues, and business partners in the US and other international regions.
