About the Opportunity

The Cardiac Technologist Advanced performs a range of non-invasive cardiac diagnostic tests, including electrocardiograms, signal average electrocardiograms, ambulatory monitoring, and exercise tolerance testing. The technologist prepares patients for ambulatory monitoring and performs stress tests under the supervision of a cardiologist. This role also involves precepting and mentoring new learners in the department.

About You

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Technologist Advanced to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiac diagnostics and a proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be registered with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists and have current BLS certification.

Responsibilities
  • Perform non-invasive cardiac diagnostic tests, including electrocardiograms and signal average electrocardiograms
  • Prepare patients for ambulatory monitoring and perform stress tests under the supervision of a cardiologist
  • Precept and mentor new learners in the department
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain accurate records
Requirements
  • Grade 12 plus a two-year BCIT program or acceptable equivalent
  • Current registration and good standing with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists
  • Current BLS certification
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Manual dexterity required
  • Demonstrates independent judgment
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
Compensation and Incentives

$28.71 - $30.83 hourly

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
