About the Job

Tesla, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Utility Battery Engineer to join its team in maintaining and troubleshooting Tesla's energy products.

As a Utility Battery Engineer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic, troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance services on commercial and utility battery energy storage systems.

You will also be tasked with working closely with members of the Operations Engineering Systems Reliability team to respond to open case directions and provide data where requested.

Key qualifications for this role include a valid Journeyperson Electrician card with valid Red Seal endorsement and experience working with power electronics and low voltage controls.

  • Previous experience working with solar PV systems, battery storage or electric vehicle charging stations
  • Certifications and/or previous training in renewable energy, solar electric design, understanding of various programming languages and equipment networking

Frequent travel and flexibility to work weekends and overtime are essential skills for this position.
