Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to maintain adequate building infrastructure and asset management to support operations at our Peterborough, Ontario location. This role will be responsible for overseeing maintenance and repair of BWXT's internal building and equipment, including HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and other mechanical systems.

Responsibilities
  • Primary contact with local landlord representatives for site maintenance initiatives/projects.
  • Identify investment needs required to sustain adequate levels of building infrastructure.
  • Execute on facilities projects/initiatives.
  • Manage maintenance and repair of BWXT's internal building and equipment.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure maximum efficiency of facilities and equipment.
  • Compliance and ownership of the site contractor management program.
  • Develop and manage the facilities budget and ensure that all expenses are tracked and accounted for.
  • Ensure that all facilities are in compliance with relevant regulations and codes, including health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
  • 5 years of experience in facilities management, including experience supervising employees and overseeing third-party contractors.
  • 3 - 5 years hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing maintenance organization as an electrician, technician, millwright, conventional machine mechanic, or mechanic.
  • Post-secondary training in a relevant technical field or construction trade.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience managing construction and renovation projects.
  • General knowledge of HVAC systems, general construction, electrical systems, bulk gases, and large air compressors.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with building and property management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position in Ontario is between $86,000 and $132,000 per year. Additionally, we offer a competitive benefits package, including a pension plan, profit-sharing plan, bonus plan, and comprehensive health and dental insurance.
