Job Title: Millwright Apprentice - Industrial Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Millwright Apprentice to join our team at Red Seal Recruiting Solutions Ltd. as an Industrial Maintenance Technician.

About the Role:

This is a permanent, full-time position requiring 40 hours of work per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of various machinery and equipment in industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipment, following established procedures and safety protocols;
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime;
  • Collaborate with experienced technicians to learn new skills and techniques, and contribute to the development of efficient maintenance strategies;
  • Operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment, such as cranes, hoists, and rigging gear;
  • Work safely and effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment, adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience;
  • At least 1 year to less than 2 years of related work experience, or equivalent experience in a similar role;
  • Solid understanding of mechanical systems, including pumps, motors, and conveyor belts;
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and supervisors;
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods, with regular bending, stooping, and climbing.
