Software Development Manager, Generative AI Expert

Position Overview
Are you a seasoned software development professional looking to make a significant impact in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team at Autodesk as a Software Development Manager for AEC Solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of software developers to design, develop, and deploy scalable and resilient data pipelines to power our work in artificial intelligence, deep learning, generative AI, machine learning, reinforcement learning, information retrieval, and natural language processing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including AI Researchers, ML Engineers, Software Architects, and Experience Designers, to build the latest foundation models and generative AI tools for the AEC industry.
- Ensure the development of secure and compliant solutions, leveraging expertise in AWS IAM, resource access policies, and IAM roles.
- Develop and implement technology roadmaps, working closely with technical leads and stakeholders to identify and prioritize new features and initiatives.
- Build and manage a high-performing team, recruiting top talent from diverse backgrounds and perspectives, and fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and excellence in software development.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest AI and data engineering trends, applying expertise to improve team performance and product quality.
- Develop and implement tactical execution plans, ensuring adherence to budgets, schedules, and performance expectations, and driving the adoption of Agile methodology.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 10+ years of software development experience, with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a manager.
- Experience managing and resolving complex and ambiguous issues, with a strong track record of delivering production applications with Amazon Web Services.
- Experience developing scalable and resilient data ingestion and processing pipelines, monitoring and self-healing systems, and working with Data Lake or Warehouses, ETLs.
- Experience with modern software practices, including Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Infrastructure-as-Code, as well as Scrum and Agile development processes and methodologies.
- Familiarity with AWS IAM, resource access policies, and IAM roles, as well as experience working with cloud-native capabilities, including data at scale, edge computing, and AI-based solutions.

- A competitive salary range of $145,800 to $235,950, depending on experience and location.
