About the Job:

Source Energy Services is seeking an experienced Mechanical Equipment Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing complex equipment, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency in our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment-related issues, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on various pieces of equipment, following OEM recommendations and departmental guidelines.
  • Repair equipment as required, under the direction of the maintenance department, and ensure all work is documented and recorded.
  • Provide remote support to field crews, using phone and technical knowledge to diagnose issues and provide solutions.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training programs for operational crews, focusing on preventative maintenance checks and services.
  • Monitor and analyze issues, identifying root causes and trends to improve equipment performance and reduce downtime.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a mechanical capacity, with exposure to both field and shop work.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and understand electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Familiarity with standard electrical practices, including 480V/3-phase motors and systems.
  • Ability to read electrical prints and technical data sheets, interact with OEM suppliers, and source required parts and services.
  • Exposure to heavy equipment, diesel engines, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and mechanical components.
  • Self-starter with excellent communication skills, able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and ability to meet deadlines and handle time pressures.
