About the Role:
Midas is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automotive Technician Apprentice to join our team. As an Apprentice Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on customer vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair complex vehicle problems using state-of-the-art computer systems
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
- Work independently and as part of a team to complete repairs and meet customer expectations
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments and technologies
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a commercial driver's license (CDL) within 6 months
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment
