Key Responsibilities
  • Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Dust furniture and fixtures to maintain a dust-free atmosphere.
  • Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture to keep our home tidy.
  • Make beds and change sheets to ensure a comfortable living space.
  • Distribute clean towels and toiletries to our guests.
  • Stock linen closet to ensure we have a steady supply of linens.
  • Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances to maintain hygiene standards.
  • Pick up debris and empty trash containers to keep our home clean.
  • Launder clothing and household linens to ensure they are clean and fresh.
  • Mend clothing and linens to extend their lifespan.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties as needed.
  • Wash windows, walls and ceilings to maintain a sparkling clean home.
Benefits

Additional Requirements

We require the successful candidate to be punctual, dependable, flexible, and organized, with good initiative, judgement, reliability, patience, and honesty. They must also be willing to participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees, and assist with immediate settlement needs such as housing, transportation, storage, childcare, winter clothing, etc. The ideal candidate will also support social and labour market integration by facilitating access to community resources, language training, skills training, etc., and offer mentorship programs to pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees. Additionally, they must provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for all employees.
