About the Role

CMHC is seeking a highly skilled Data Warehouse Senior Analyst to join our Enterprise Data Office. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support on executing data profiling activities and deriving insights from data analysis. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining data quality rules and ensuring that testing on the rules is performed, as well as supporting the root cause analysis for data quality issues, the resulting remediation plan, and its execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide scoping assistance in the process of collecting and analyzing information used to establish the effort required to deliver a business use case, initiative, or a project, the risk involved, and the value added to the business.
  • Execute data profiling assessments and provide insights to data stewards and business stakeholders into the quality of the data.
  • Define the data quality rules needed to meet the data quality business requirements to achieve a specific business intended purpose.
  • Develop and maintain data quality standards and ensure they are in alignment with company objectives and industry best practices.
  • Support and provide insights to data stakeholders on displaying data quality metrics and validating their values, and recommend ongoing enhancements to methods and models to lead to insights.
  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to enhance data quality tools and processes.
  • Work closely with business lines, data stewards, project/program managers, and IT teams, including partners, to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound organizational decisions.
Requirements
  • An undergraduate degree in computer science or another related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working in the field of data.
  • A demonstrated experience of data governance and management (data classification, data profiling, data inventory, data catalog and data lineage (including mapping).
  • An experience with Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality, and/or Data Analysis tools.
  • An understanding of data governance principles and data management processes (including data management lifecycle).
  • Bilingualism (English and French).
  • Well-developed qualitative and quantitative analysis skills.
  • The ability to take initiative and work independently on individual projects.
