About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Dairy Queen Saanich Centre. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet customer demands.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Customer Service
    • Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Ensure that customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food products.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Prepare and submit reports on sales, inventory, and customer feedback.
    • Prepare budget and cost estimates for food and supplies.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
  • Skills
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
    • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
    • Ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods. The physical demands of the job require the ability to lift, bend, and kneel.
