Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Residential Counsellor to join our team at Springboard. As a Residential Counsellor, you will provide support and guidance to individuals with developmental disabilities or dual diagnosis, helping them to develop the skills they need to live independently.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized support and counselling to residents, helping them to develop life skills and achieve their goals.
- Facilitate life skills programming in the home and community, promoting learning and independence.
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including hygiene, budgeting, cooking, and nutrition.
- Manage crisis situations and provide safe and secure environments for residents.
- Perform administrative duties, including clerical and reception tasks.
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in the Social Services field.
- Strong knowledge of computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Valid First Aid and Safe Management certifications.
- Minimum two years of recent work-related experience in the Developmental Services sector.
