About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Bakery Assistant to join our team at Twists and More. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for preparing dough, batters, and icings for a variety of sweet and savory goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, as well as batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Bake mixed dough and batters to perfection.
  • Prepare special orders and ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.
  • Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods to a high standard.
  • Inspect kitchen and food service areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Organize and maintain inventory levels to minimize waste and optimize production.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
