We are looking for a highly skilled Woodworking Specialist to join our team at SHORELINE DRYWALL LTD.

About the Job

This is a permanent position, working 35 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the field and a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Responsibilities
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Supervise other workers
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various establishments
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking
  • Handling heavy loads
  • Overtime required
  • Physically demanding

The estimated annual salary for this position is $$$55,000-$65,000, depending on experience and qualifications. This amount reflects the average compensation for carpenters with similar skills and qualifications in the area.
