About the RoleThis is a challenging yet rewarding position that involves providing high-quality nursing care to residents in our long-term care center. The successful candidate will have strong assessment and communication skills, as well as experience working with older adults.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and documenting patient information.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop individualized care plans to address these needs.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless and effective care delivery.
- Supervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
- A diploma or degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
- Current registration with the provincial or territorial nursing regulatory body.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a long-term care setting, preferably with geriatric patients.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
- A competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
