Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Childventures Early Learning Academy Inc. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for young children to grow and develop.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Synthesize the overall situation of the children and communicate with parents to ensure a collaborative approach to their child's development.
  • Lead activities that promote learning and exploration, such as storytelling, singing, and outings to local points of interest.
  • Encourage children to express their creativity through various mediums, including art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Guide children in developing healthy habits, such as eating, dressing, and using the bathroom.
  • Monitor children for signs of potential learning or behavioral issues and prepare reports for parents and guardians.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and challenges.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and community service providers.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment for children by planning and maintaining a secure and clean space.
  • Organize activities for school-age children before and after regular school hours.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of other Early Childhood Educators and assistants.
Requirements:
  • College/CEGEP education.
  • 1-2 years of experience in early childhood education.
  • Basic security clearance, criminal record check, immunization records, and tuberculosis test.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with repetitive tasks and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and reliability.
  • Team player with a strong sense of values and ethics.
