Welding Supervisor

E.S. Fox Limited is seeking a skilled Welding Supervisor to oversee welding operations in a nuclear environment. The successful candidate will have a strong background in welding and quality assurance, with experience in custom metal fabrication and pressure boundary piping.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the weld torch/gun exchange program, ensuring timely repair and testing of MIG & TIG torches.
- Maintain welding machine lines & filters, cooling accessories, and address welding program/machinery issues in a timely manner.
- Assign machines to projects, complete with tags/labels, per weld supervisor instructions.
- Assist with welder testing, qualification, and welding practice/guidance as required.
- Maintain torch and welding consumables stock in lock-up area, ensuring they are stocked to appropriate levels at all times.
- Review documentation and qualifications to ensure issuance of consumables and filler metals match quality/welding program expectations.
- Review weld tracking documentation to confirm up-to-date and accurate.
Requirements:
- Detailed knowledge of Welding and Q.A. Codes and Standards, including ASME, CSA, ASTM, API, and ANSI Standards and Codes.
- Certification to CSA W47.1/W59.1 is an asset.
- Hands-on welding experience in a nuclear environment, preferably in radiological and conventional settings.
- 5 years of previous experience in a similar role.
- Direct involvement in custom metal fabrication and pressure boundary piping environments.
- Experience in or knowledge of fabrication, field installation, radiography film interpretation, and pre/post WHT and finishing.
- Weld mapping, filler metal control, and tracing.
