Job Title: Mobile Network Technician

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Network Technician to join our team at MobiXpress. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment and networks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Repair or replace defective telephone equipment and cables.
  • Analyze test results and adjust, change or repair switching system, network, associated equipment and software.
  • Complete and maintain test and service reports.
  • Determine nature, cause and location of trouble and initiate the dispatch of appropriate repair personnel.
  • Install electromechanical, analog and digital trunking systems, circuits and equipment in telecommunications central offices and switching centres.
  • Instruct apprentices and operate computerized testing systems to conduct service tests on customer lines and equipment.
  • Maintain and repair aerial and underground transmission systems.
  • Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers and amplifiers.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in telecommunications equipment installation and repair.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Ability to distinguish between colours and manual dexterity.
  • Leadership, client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, and team player.
Working Conditions:
  • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Security and Safety:
  • Criminal record check.
Transportation/Travel Information:
  • Willing to travel.
