Job Title: Chef

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Ontario Inc. as a key member of our culinary team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as preparing dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances. They will also be responsible for inspecting kitchens and food service areas, training staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food, and maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
  • Recruit and hire staff
  • Manage kitchen operations
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with a team of experienced chefs and kitchen staff. They will be required to work in a physically demanding environment and be able to lift heavy loads.
