Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Consultant - Aquatic and Environmental Services to join our team in Vancouver, BC, Calgary, AB, Toronto, ON, or one of our other Canadian offices. As a key member of our team, you will work on a diverse range of projects for ERM clients across Canada, focusing on environmental effects monitoring programs for mining clients.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead the technical portions of major components of EEM programs within your areas of technical knowledge, or provide project management leadership for the broader program as part of a team.
- Provide technical input and guidance to team members within your areas of technical knowledge, emphasizing the importance of applying technical expertise across sectors and regulatory jurisdictions, and integrating expertise on a given discipline with the contributions from other subject matter experts to achieve project objectives.
- Work on multiple projects, supporting management and execution of scope/budget/schedule to meet client's expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables.
- Support engagement activities with regulators, Indigenous groups, communities, and stakeholders as part of broader project teams.
Qualifications and Skills
- M.Sc. in Toxicology, Aquatic Sciences, Fisheries or another related technical field is preferred. A B.Sc will be considered if combined with substantial practical experience. Or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years (7+ years preferred) of consulting experience in the design and delivery of aquatic effects monitoring programs, ideally for sites both in British Columbia and the North. Regulatory and/or industry experience will be considered as well.
- Registration, or eligibility to apply to become a registered professional to be considered a Qualified Professional for oversight of and/or certifying regulatory deliverables.
