About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Plasterer Apprentice to join our team at Van Horne Construction Limited. As a Plasterer Apprentice, you will be responsible for assisting experienced plasterers in the application of plaster to walls and ceilings, as well as performing various tasks related to the trade.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist experienced plasterers in the application of plaster to walls and ceilings
  • Perform tasks such as mixing plaster ingredients, applying successive coats of compound, and sanding seams and joints
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, to apply plaster to ceilings and walls
  • Operate power tools and equipment, such as trowels and sprayers, to apply plaster and other materials
  • Assist in the preparation of surfaces for plastering, including cleaning and repairing walls and ceilings
  • Participate in the installation of ornamental plaster panels, cornices, and trim
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and healthy work environment
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work at heights and in a physically demanding environment
  • Flexibility and reliability in meeting deadlines and working overtime as required
  • Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new skills and techniques
