Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Oversight of cleaning audits, laundry quotas, and implementation of improvement plans
  • Support in optimizing the Facility FitPro Information and Management platform for the site
  • Creation of audits, project work schedules, and employee training logs, as well as recommending staffing levels
  • Liaison with internal stakeholders during cleanliness inspections to ensure transparency and client satisfaction
  • Maintenance of a tracking system for front-line associate training and certifications
  • Support with employee on-the-job training to ensure employees have the necessary knowledge and tools
  • Conducting safety observations and attending regular safety huddles, recording completed safe activities
  • Assisting the Manager in labor optimization, including schedule overview and payroll entry

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years' experience in environmental and laundry services in a healthcare setting
  • Leadership and/or training experience considered an asset
  • Technical knowledge of custodial equipment, cleaning procedures, and project activities
  • Desire to innovate and improve duties and functions continuously
  • Experience working in a unionized environment is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Flexible schedule, with some evening and weekend work required
  • High degree of sensitivity when working in a healthcare environment
