Job Title: Registered Nurse I

This is a challenging and rewarding nursing position that requires a high level of skill and expertise. As a Registered Nurse I, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients on the General Surgery Unit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide complete nursing care to patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the physician.
  • Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current registration with the Association of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador.
  • Current BLS certification for health care providers from the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Consistent demonstration of Central Health's corporate values: Innovation, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Excellence (ICARE).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in surgical unit nursing.
  • Current PALS certification for health care providers from the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
