Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician to join our team at WSP Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting on-site assessments and monitoring, providing occupational hygiene support to clients, and working under the supervision of experienced technicians and project managers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct site assessments and monitoring to identify potential health and safety hazards
  • Provide occupational hygiene support to clients, including preparing and calibrating sampling equipment, identifying site issues, and recommending corrective actions
  • Conduct air quality assessments, including indoor air and occupational hygiene
  • Supervise asbestos abatement activities and provide technical support and services
  • Participate in the Health and Safety program and Quality Control program
  • Engage in technical training programs and stay up-to-date with industry developments
Requirements
  • Occupational Hygiene technician certificate, diploma, or equivalent education
  • Eligible for membership in a professional organization (asset but not required)
  • Experience in Occupational Hygiene, hazardous material assessments, and asbestos-related issues (asset)
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with no restrictions and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities
