We are seeking a reliable and skilled Painter Assistant to join our team at Van-Berg Interiors Painting Ltd. in Toronto, Canada.

About the Role

The successful candidate will assist experienced painters with various tasks including loading and unloading materials, transporting construction materials, removing debris, repairing cracks and holes, and preparing surfaces for painting.

This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks. The ideal candidate will be able to lift heavy loads, bend, crouch, and kneel regularly.

Responsibilities
  • Loading and unloading materials from trucks and equipment
  • Transporting construction materials to and from job sites
  • Removing rubble and other debris from construction sites
  • Repairing cracks and holes in walls and surfaces
  • Preparing surfaces for painting by cleaning and sanding them
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A strong work ethic and ability to work independently
  • Excellent physical stamina and ability to lift heavy loads
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
  • No degree, certificate or diploma required
