The Senior Operations Director plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and profitable operation of assigned facilities.
Key responsibilities include directing customer relationships, reviewing analyses of activities, costs, and operations, and communicating best practices nationwide.
The position requires a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct customer relationships to ensure overall satisfaction
- Review analyses of activities, costs, and operations to determine progress toward stated goals
- Communicate best practices nationwide to initiate process improvement teams
- Develop plans for efficient use of materials, equipment, and employee resources
- Review costs to make recommendations to maintain and enhance profitability
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university
- Master's degree preferred
- Minimum 8 to 10 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience and/or knowledge of storage and shipment of food-grade items preferred
- Experience with both inbound and outbound international shipments preferred
- Knowledge of labor management systems
- PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
