About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Operations Manager to join our team at the Government of Canada - Western. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for coordinating activities with other work units or departments, monitoring the movement of supplies and materials, and performing routine clerical duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate logistics operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods and services
  • Monitor and control inventory levels, including ordering and receiving supplies
  • Prepare and submit reports on logistics operations, including metrics on efficiency and productivity
  • Develop and implement procedures to improve logistics operations and reduce costs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of logistics operations
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to team members on logistics operations
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in logistics operations

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in logistics operations, preferably in a transportation or freight forwarding industry
  • Strong knowledge of logistics software and systems, including dispatch management and database management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to identify and resolve logistics-related issues
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and high levels of pressure
