Soho Square Solutions is seeking an experienced Chief Cybersecurity Operations Officer to join our team in Security System Administration.

Estimated Annual Salary: $120,000 - $180,000

About the Role

In this critical position, you will be responsible for overseeing the management and maintenance of our event and incident manager (SIEM) system. Your key focus areas will include ensuring data integrity, implementing security and control measures, and guaranteeing high availability of our technological ecosystem.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in security log management and the ability to create effective use cases for cyber threat detection. Experience with optimizing ingestion pipelines using the Cribl tool is highly desirable.

We are currently undertaking two major projects: the implementation of a data lake dedicated to cybersecurity and a comprehensive overhaul of our ingestion pipeline to optimize Splunk usage and improve detection processes.

Team Context

You will be part of our IT Cybercrimes delivery team, which manages the monitoring ecosystem, including Splunk Enterprise Security, Splunk SOAR, Extrahop, and other cybersecurity tools.

Responsibilities
  • Configuration and Management: You will oversee the configuration, management, and maintenance of our SIEM system to ensure its optimal performance.
  • Data Integrity and Security: Your primary responsibility will be to implement and maintain robust security and control measures to safeguard our data and prevent potential breaches.
  • Availability and Reliability: You will ensure that our technological ecosystem operates at peak levels, providing high availability and reliability.
Requirements
  • Cybersecurity Expertise: A solid understanding of security log management principles and experience in creating use cases for cyber threat detection.
  • Pipeline Optimization: Strong skills in optimizing ingestion pipelines, preferably with experience in using the Cribl tool.
