Job Opportunity:

Stuart Olson is seeking a Rope Access Equipment Manager to oversee the maintenance and inspection of our critical Rope Access Equipment. This role requires a passion for safety and an interest in gear management.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, maintain, and manage all rope access equipment, including harnesses, ropes, hardware, and fall protection systems.
  • Perform thorough inspections and ensure all equipment meets safety standards and complies with industry regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment servicing, inspections, and certifications.
  • Oversee inventory management, track equipment usage, and ensure timely reordering of gear as needed.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of equipment safety procedures and protocols.
  • Provide support and advice on equipment handling, storage, and proper usage to the rope access team.
  • Stay updated on developments in safety equipment and relevant industry regulations.
  • Participate in incident investigations related to equipment, providing reports and analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License
  • Experience in equipment management, safety inspections, or inventory control is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Working both indoors and outdoors in hot and cold weather conditions
  • Working at heights
  • Working in and around noise and dust
  • Must be clean shaven
  • Personal safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.

Physical Requirements:

  • Stand or walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to stand, crouch, and kneel for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 25kg
  • Climbing stairs/ladders regularly
  • Exposure to hazards such as heights, power tools, slips, falls, falling objects, and sharp hand tools
  • Work with full face mask in CSE
