About the Opportunity

Aecon, a leading infrastructure development company, is seeking a highly skilled Senior GIS Specialist to join our Infrastructure Development and Delivery team in Toronto. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in fostering GIS innovation and providing technical expertise to clients and business partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement 3D geospatial/BIM solutions for infrastructure and transportation planning projects
  • Create FME scripts to automate workflows and develop 3D maps, databases, and other deliverables
  • Mentor and train junior GIS staff, promoting a culture of support and collaboration
  • Conduct large-scale spatial analyses and develop vector and raster spatial analysis models
  • Develop and support web GIS applications using Esri Web App Builder and ArcGIS Enterprise platform
  • Travel to project sites within Ontario (20% of the time) to provide on-site support

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geography, or related discipline
  • 5-10 years of experience working with Esri GIS applications (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, etc)
  • High data organization standards and quality control/quality assurance practices
  • Advanced knowledge of ESRI tools, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise
  • Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, including experience creating analytical reports
