Electrical Inspector Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Inspector to join our team at Johnson Controls. As an Electrical Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting routine inspections, testing, and maintenance on electrical and life safety systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and test electrical systems to ensure they are functioning properly
  • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems
  • Identify and report any defects or issues with electrical systems
  • Work with low voltage wiring and associated devices
  • Complete service acknowledgements and input inspection documents
  • Make minor repairs and provide technical training to other inspectors
  • Follow a structured inspection schedule and perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • 2+ years of documented experience in low-voltage electrical systems
  • Ability to pass criminal background and clean driving record
  • Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Proficiency with using PCs and iPhone apps
  • Ability to obtain CFAA in 12 months
  • Capable of performing physical labor and working in unusual positions
  • Ability to work flexible hours and demonstrate a high level of customer service

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints and diagrams
  • Experience with troubleshooting systems and performing necessary repairs
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to learn quickly
