Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our Project Management Office (PMO) team at FortisBC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering a portfolio of projects executed by a hybrid workforce of both FortisBC employees and contractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Integrate into the PMO team and develop a strong understanding of FortisBC's core business and the Interior capital sustainment project portfolio.
  • Assume responsibility for delivering a portfolio of projects, including managing operational and project risk, and ensuring all staff are effectively trained and competent in work activities.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to your team, focusing on project quality, schedule, and cost.
  • Contribute to the successful resolution of problems and challenges to meet project goals and objectives.
  • Strengthen relationships with key internal stakeholders and expand relationships with external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 8-12 years of related experience in a leadership capacity in construction project management.
  • PMP designation is a strong asset.
  • Results-driven with an incredible ability to problem-solve and make informed decisions.
  • Strong leadership skills, including coaching and motivating teams.
  • Natural ability to drive and implement change through planning and execution while keeping the customer experience in mind.
  • Knowledgeable in the areas of budget concept and principles, regulatory framework, requirements, codes, and business model.
