Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Processing Technician to join our team at the Commission Scolaire Central Quebec / Central Quebec School Board. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for programming and modifying in-house applications, managing networks, and providing technical support to our staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program and modify applications using appropriate programming languages to meet the specific needs of users.
  • Test software and programs, and adapt them as necessary to ensure compatibility with existing systems and user needs.
  • Manage, install, and configure systems, and oversee the installation of components according to established procedures.
  • Test, modify, and upgrade computer networks, and develop procedures related to network use and equipment maintenance.
  • Act as a resource person for equipment and software breakdowns, and perform installations and configurations as needed.
  • Draft instructions for software and applications, and participate in user training.
  • Formulate suggestions and recommendations for computer equipment purchases.
  • Assist analysts in the analysis, development, and implementation of computer systems, as needed.
  • Oversee computer-related work, and train less experienced technicians as needed.
