About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Addictions Counsellor to join our team at the Charles J Andrew Healing Centre. As an Addictions Counsellor, you will play a vital role in supporting clients in their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interview clients and prepare case histories to assess their needs and develop personalized plans.
  • Develop and implement counselling and intervention programs to help clients achieve their goals.
  • Counsel clients, provide therapy, and facilitate group sessions to promote healthy coping mechanisms and support networks.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of MS Outlook and MS Word.
